A new scientific article titled Food liking and consumption in schools: Comparison of questionnaire-based surveys with real consumption has been published in Food Quality and Preference, an Elsevier journal.
The research project was led by the InDeRe Institute for Food Research and Innovation, with contributions from researchers at the University of Veterinary Medicine and the Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
In this highly ranked food science journal, our researchers examined how closely children's stated preferences align with their actual eating behavior in school meal settings—specifically, whether they actually eat the foods they claim to like.
The findings make a significant contribution to further research aimed at reducing food waste.
